Thursday evening’s Workshop was meant to be a Skatepark Workshop to discuss how best to locate the skatepark in the southern end of the Level. In fact it was another session of “Options” where once again the Parks Project Team attempted to make a small self-selected group of individuals, including a contingent of skaters, feel that their input could have an effect on the Grand Plan. By the end of the evening it became clear that the original plan as set out in the Stage 1 of the bid is the one that the PPT intend to press ahead with and try to push through. This they will attempt to do by showing that a majority of users of the Level favour a design that has the skatepark in the north. But surely this cannot be so!
